Do You Need Some Inspiration for Valentine’s Day?
We’ve come up with some romantic and fun ways for both couples and those not in a relationship to spend Valentine’s Day. Forget the dinner at the restaurant, do something different and have some fun!
If you are looking for a romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day with your special loved one, I may have a couple of ideas for you. You can pick and choose the ones you like, doing each one separately, or put them all together for a fun filled weekend.
Go shopping together for lingerie. What a great way to spend the Friday night before Valentine’s Day. Visit your favorite stores and together pick out something sexy for each other. As you browse through all the intimate apparel encourage each other, share what you would like to see them in. This is an opportunity to have some fun, laughter and special time together.
Saturday morning (Valentine’s Day), plan a dinner that the two of you will fix together. Pick out foods that both of you like and are easy to prepare. You don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen and end up being too tired to enjoy the evening. Chose a wonderful bottle of wine to go with your dinner.
Take Friday off and make it a long get-away weekend. Head south to San Diego and stay at the Hotel Del Coronado. Or if you enjoy a driving along the coast, head up north to San Luis Obispo.
Take a nice romantic walk along the beach at sunset, followed with a intimate catered dinner in your own private gazebo.
Do a couples spa day. If that’s out of the budget, give each other a nice massage in front of the fireplace. Amazon has lots of book on couples massage and many of them can be downloaded to your iPad.
This one is for the guys: Do yourself a really big favor and don’t buy her a two pound box of chocolates. Although you really mean well, (and what woman doesn’t enjoy chocolates?), you don’t want to be sabotage her diet. We just got done with the biggest weight gain period of the year– “the holidays”. Like many people, she may be trying to lose the weight and wants to look a little more sexy for you. So instead, bring out your really romantic side. Buy a four-piece box of the finest chocolates you can afford and then share them in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine and soft sexy music.
What if you’re Not in a relationship?
Being single shouldn’t mean that you have to sit home alone or choose to work a little overtime. No, Instead, plan a girls or guys night out. Get together for some fun, laugher and good company. Don’t feel like going to a restaurant? Host a get-together at your home.
Gals, this could be the perfect excuse for a little retail therapy. Get your girlfriends together and hit all those special stores you’ve been wanting to go to, even if you are just looking. Try on all those fabulous clothes, shoes, and jewelry you’ve had your eye on. Not into shopping? Then schedule a girls day or weekend at the spa. That could be just what you need to relax and unwind from all the holiday and work madness.
Guys, this is a perfect time to break out the poker chips and schedule a friendly game. Not into poker? Well, there are several action adventure and thriller movies being released at the end of January and the first couple of weeks in February. Lastly, if you’re into sports, the only game in town on Valentines Day is the LA Kings versus the Washington Capitals at Staples Center.
Remember there is just one rule — have fun!
